Some days it is the simplest things that catch your eye. With the setting in of Autumn the light continues to change. Sometimes casting a shadow and sometimes illuminating. It is all beautiful.
Here are some of the things I saw today.
As we finished eating breakfast in our courtyard I wandered over to our new lemon tree to see how it was doing. We planted it about 6 weeks ago. A few days ago there were lots of new leaves coming out. This morning we discovered flower buds…meaning (if everything goes right) lemons.
We were thrilled by all the new leaves popping up so you can probably imagine what we were like when we saw these buds. 🙂
The new leaves.
I absolutely love taking photos with the morning dew kissing the plants.
Our Bougainvillea and our Jasmine against the stone and blue of the sky. This morning.
And late this afternoon.
The slight tinge of color change on these leaves is our yard.
Late this afternoon I wandered outside of our gate to capture the light and shadows.
I love the shadows on the wall.
I have been watching this hedge change color from our kitchen window. Tomorrow I need to catch a photo in the full sun.
Like I said…the simplest things. The light and the colors and the shadows all playing together to change how we see things. To make us stop and notice.
