Don’t tread on someone else’s dreams

Don’t knock someone else’s dream.

If you don’t agree with it then keep those thoughts to yourself.

If you don’t think they will attain it then keep those thoughts to yourself.

If you are jealous then keep those thoughts to yourself.

This isn’t about you. It is about them. Them following THEIR dream.

I’ve had ‘friends’ and family that have made snide remarks about our decision to pursue our dream that I haven’t liked. Most of these remarks have been made about the fact that I am “not working” and when I tell them that writing this blog is my job right now I’m just not getting paid yet they continue with comments that “it isn’t work then it’s a hobby.”

Are they trying to be funny?

Are they jealous that I am doing what I want to do? That I am following my dream?

Truthfully, I don’t care why they make the comments. I just want them to stop making them to me. I don’t want to hear them.

I can’t imagine putting someone down who is brave and daring enough to follow their dreams. That is really why these comments bother me and why I am thinking about them today.

So, to all of you out there who are making fun of someone else’s dreams…stop it. If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all.
