Wednesday was Bob’s birthday and we were sure to make a fun day of it! Of course, we had to go to Barcelona while Dani was here. Barcelona is a beautiful city with incredible architecture. The thing we don’t like about Barcelona is driving in it. Or in my case navigating. Truthfully it just is not fun at all. So some grumbling may have occurred.
We started with walking around the La Sagrada Família. We did not buy tickets to go inside this time but perhaps when Dani returns we will do that. This is a place you can visit many times and still be amazed every time. Bob’s first visit was in 1964 at which time very little was built. He is still in awe at the construction every time he visits.

We then drove down and parked near the port and wandered up La Rambla and into the many gorgeous streets around it.
What a gorgeous city. (except the driving part) 😉
We then headed home to rest our feet for a bit and to shower and change for Bob’s birthday dinner. Alfresco Restaurant, of course.
It was an absolutely spectacular evening along the seafront.

Dinner was perfect as always! Xavi and everyone at Alfresco are simply the best!
Wow! What a day and night it was. We had a wonderful time being together and touring this beautiful place. Bob loved celebrating his birthday with his two favorite ladies. ♥
