It has been unusually cool here the past two weeks. We know this because this is when we always came for our vacations. If it had been this cool we would have booked our trips at a different time. Prior to Dani arriving she asked what the temperature was going to be and we told her what we knew from experience. Well, it really didn’t deliver.
Tuesday, we decided to spend some time at the beach. I guess the plus side is that it wasn’t blazingly hot so we were able to relax and enjoy it. As you can see there weren’t many others on the beach or in the water.
I mean seriously…I don’t think this will ever get old for us.
Bob and I usually sunbathe for a while until we decide the water will be a welcome relief. Well, with the temperature being cooler we really didn’t feel that way. The last two times we had been to the beach we never went in the water because it was too cool. However, Tuesday Bob and I were determined to go for a swim. Sometimes the best way to get in is to just dive in which is what we did. It was cooler than we wanted but once you’re in the water it doesn’t really matter. At least that is what we try to tell ourselves. 🙂 Dani tried the slow way of going in the water by slowly walking in and decided it was too cool for her.
Bob and I have discussed getting wet-suits so that we can swim all year here. I’m so thrilled to be this close to the water that I don’t want to only be in the water for a few months out of the year.
Later that afternoon/early evening we went for a walk around the vineyard. Again, I don’t think this will ever get old. The vineyard is changing all the time so there is always something to see. We love being out in nature and living where we do makes it easy now.
The real treat for Tuesday was that Bob made us PAELLA! I promise to share the recipe and detailed photos soon. For now, here are a couple of photos. YUMMY!!!!
Gorgeous pictures!
