January Leaves Us A Gift

Finally…it is January 31st! Who else feels like this month has been about eight weeks long? It has had its good days and bad days, some wins, and some changes.

I think as a way of trying to end on a positive note Mother Nature decided to give us a beautiful day with warm temperatures.

And just to make sure we are smiling on this last day of January…a bit more of Spring poking her head out. Daffodils (Narcisos in Spanish) have started blooming outside our bedroom window.

More Almond blossoms blooming. I love the three little white clouds as if to highlight the tree in all her glory!

I took these photos of the Almond Blossoms yesterday at sunrise. Glorious.

I think January doesn’t want us to be mad at her for perhaps wearing out her welcome. C’mon…don’t be mad at her…she wasn’t that bad.

  1. I’m so thankful some of the almond blossoms survived and more buds bloomed! I do love the clouds around the tree as if Someone highlighted it, beautiful as always.
Our last day here was warm, too. Nothing exciting outside except for a lot more shoots in the grasses-next week it is supposed to drop into much colder temps again. We’ll see!

      1. I’ve only been to a bit on the Kenai Peninsula. Most of Alaska I’ve never seen–I’m afraid this summer will be my last stay as a non visitor……
