Do you ever have those days that go completely differently than you planned?! I got up this morning and wrote out my to-do list and what a list it is, let me tell you. It is now 5:30pm and I haven’t done ONE thing on the list. And you know what? I am okay with that…not stressing out at all. We’ve had a fun day.
Late this morning we decided to go for a walk. We’ve had a lot of windy days lately and with fighting allergies, we haven’t been out for a walk. Today we decided to get out before the wind started up. We set off to see if there were sheep grazing behind the fencing we had noticed going up the past couple of days. On our way, we saw Kim, Virginia and their gorgeous doggie, Goku just returning from a walk. Goku is such a sweetheart.
Yes, the sheep were there. I only took a few (insert eye roll here) photos and videos of them. To be fair it was really their fault that I took so many photos. They kept moving or walking in front of the one I was trying to take a photo of or the absolute worse…they would bend their heads down to eat something! I mean…don’t they realize I am trying to make them stars on the internet?
They are really good at the staring game, in fact, I think they won each time this morning.
Isn’t this one a beauty!?
The winter sky with the sun poking through and sheep. Perfect!
Check out those horns!
Bob and I are inquisitive and we discussed the fence which seemed pretty flimsy if the sheep decided to rush it but then Bob found this. It’s a solar-powered electric fence.
When he walked around this side of the area it caused the sheep to wander my direction. Love the sound of the bells. As soon as I stopped the video they would let out BAAAAA. Never caught it on video.
I love the two that stop to nuzzle each other at the end of this video. So sweet.
Once we found the solar panel, we started to walk around the back of the fenced-in area but unfortunately, we woke up the sheep guarding dog (sorry but she doesn’t look like a ‘sheepdog’ to me). Yes, that’s right…she was sleeping on the job. She slowly got up and walked toward us barking in a half-asleep sort of woof. We apologized for waking her up and turned around.
Then it was on to photograph the Almond Blossoms. A couple of vineyard photos along the way because I can never have too many of those.
I love the remains of the grapes still hanging on the vine.
That Winter sky again.
Almond blossoms!!!
Bees and Almond blossoms. ♥
More to come!
Pretty soon these beautiful blossoms will be gone and the trees will be laden with almonds. Yummy.
There was more to the walk which I will share tomorrow. After having lunch in our garden we decided to do a bit yard work. Bob set about pruning and I did some weeding. January 31st and we are working outside. Love it!
So, the to-do list will still be there tomorrow or the next day. We enjoyed our walk and enjoyed doing some yard work on this last day of January!
