Wow! The past few days have been a blur. Sunday’s book launch at Montroig Cafe went great and I was able to Skype in and see everyone. We opened a bottle of cava here to celebrate…yes it was 9am here but you only have your very first book launch once. Oh and if you haven’t done so already…you can buy the book here. http://www.lulu.com/shop/maww/a-workingtitle/paperback/product-23854952.html

The Monday morning sunrise over the lake was spectacular. A beautiful start to the day.
Mid-morning we made a quick trip to Raleigh where we used to live. We had lunch with my friend Tiffany and her husband Matt and their sweet 2-month-old little girl Shelby. So much has changed in all of our lives since we last saw each other…but probably more so with them. lol.
We then drove to Chapel Hill to see our dear friends, Doug and Juanita. We used to live across the street from each other when we first moved to the area. They have since followed their dream and moved to a new home on a golf course. Dreams do come true. We had such a wonderful time with them. It was so difficult to say farewell once again. Thank you both so much for the incredible food and company. We love you dearly! Look forward to showing you around Spain someday soon.
My dear sweet Toasty Bear who now lives with Juanita and Doug loves our book.
Coffee in a gorgeous Santa’s mug and our book…a perfect combo.
Tuesday we stopped by Lulu.com headquarters in Morrisville, North Carolina – the printers of our books. Bob and I told them about the writers’ group and the book and how we came all the way from Spain and we just wanted to take some photos…blah blah blah. Emma was so welcoming and even took photos of us. š Thanks Emma and Lulu.com.
I had posted on Facebook that we would be at a restaurant in Cary/Morrisville at 11:30am and if any of our friends could make it we would love to see them. I knew it would be difficult for people to get there on such short notice and with the way work schedules are but there was just no way to visit everyone and get back on the road to Charlotte area by 2pm. We were thrilled that Katie, Kerri and Logan were able to make it to lunch. We had a great time catching up. Thank you guys!
Yesterday and today were spent (ugh) working on all of the business accounting for this past crazy month and getting it prepared for our accountant. Not fun but necessary. Tomorrow I will send it off and breathe a sigh of relief. š Oh, and today marks one month that we have been away from home.
I hope you get a chance to rest soon! Wrap presents, bake, and put up your feet to rest!
