Riding out the storm

Sometimes life deals you an unexpected blow. There is no good time when these things happen even though we tend to say the timing couldn’t have been worse. Let’s face it.

Life isn’t fair. No one ever promised us it would be.

I have several friends that were laid off from work today. All of them work for my former employer. This came as a complete shock to them. So this post is especially for them.

You will get through this. It is okay to be angry and sad and scared. But it is also okay to be hopeful. I know it doesn’t seem like it at this moment but you will be okay. You will survive this and you will THRIVE!

If I were there I would give you each huge hugs. I would buy you a drink or two. We would curse and we would also laugh together. I would hold your hand and tell you that I am here for you. I always will be.

Trust me when I say…brighter days are coming and you will be okay. I’m here if you need to vent, chat, bounce ideas off of, or need encouragement.
