Do you realize that the first day of Spring (in the Northern Hemisphere) is in a mere 33 days! That’s right around the corner! Not that our Winter has been bad here but I am more of a warm weather gal! I would live in sandals year-round. In fact that is what I have on right now.
We just got back from a walk on the beach. It was just over 60°F (15.5°C) here today. A big difference from when I took this photo on Sunday morning. It rained Saturday night and then got very cold overnight. I thought the raindrops were staying on the Jasmine a little late that morning and went out to take a few photos. That’s when I realized they were frozen droplets.
I’ll take sunny and warmer any day!
We’ve both been busy this week with work so it was good to get out to the beach. Breathe in the salty air. Listen to the waves. Contemplate life. Relax our minds and bodies.
We did a bit of beach combing. Bob found the best treasure of the day. A froggy! My Mom was a freak for frogs and had quite a collection (thanks to us kids). This froggy surely is a sign that my Mom was there with us. It made me smile and I immediately took this photo and sent it my sisters.
There were the normal beach creatures or what remained of them.
We found some other treasures including a metal lion.
And this interesting piece of sea glass. I wonder what it is or was?
It is glass and has a hole through the length of it. Funny but it does resemble the outdoor lights at a nearby hotel. Hmmm….what do you think?
As I said it has been a busy week for both of us and for me an emotional one. Our walk on the beach was a good break. We needed it. We needed to once again remind ourselves that we may feel a bit battered sometimes but our life is pretty darn good.
