Hello! I’m back! To be honest I didn’t go anywhere…except away from in front of my laptop. I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow but let me just jump into Saturday’s fun day!
Temps de Vi or Wine Time! This fun event took place in Vilanova i la Geltrú over the weekend. We went last year which you can read about here. This year Mark, Bob and I met on the Rambla for coffee before embarking on Wine Time.
The event is to showcase wines made in Catalonia and believe me, there are so many incredible wines made here! You buy a glass for 3€ (about $3.40) and then you buy four tickets for 6€. Each booth offers a variety of their wines and they cost anywhere between 1-4 tickets. Most of them were 1 ticket. This isn’t a small taste of wine they pour a serious glass of wine for the price. One winery offered a taste of the wine we wanted to try before we actually gave them a ticket. Then they filled the glass.
Oh and a canvas bag for only 5€! C’mon, who doesn’t love a #Winelover bag!?
Bob was texting with our friend Joan who owns a couple of our favorite restaurants, La Posada and Les Piques. He was recommending which wines we needed to try. We loved all his choices.
We started with a Vermouth or Vermut. Just look at those bottles! And the Vermut…WOW! Padró & Co. Vermouth is a new favorite. We each bought a bottle. We also decided that we need to tour their vineyard. We just need to find a designated driver.
Wine Time with these guys!
Sun, wine, and music!
Yum!
Cheers!
Viladellops (where we live) had a booth.
So many great wines.
Loved this poster!
So many laughs! So much fun!
Then a bit of tapas before calling it a day.
I just love the streets here.
Already looking forward to Temps de Vi 2020!!!
Before the next one we also need to have a Vermut a casa. 😉😋
