We had a very rainy day here yesterday. Almost 25mm (a bit less than an inch) of much-needed rain fell. It was a pretty dreary day but I had plenty of inside chores to keep me busy.
At about 9pm I finally turned off my laptop and headed upstairs. A glance out the window showed that the rain had ended and the light of the sunset was casting a gorgeous glow. I HAD to go out to take some photos, especially after being cooped up inside all day.
Just WOW!
Something had caught my eye a few photos earlier. Something running down through the vines. Too big to be a cat but I couldn’t see it so I kept taking photos. Then it came back up through the vines. Can you see it?
A Jabalí (wild boar)!
Just having some dinner and oh…I’ve been spotted.
Once I stopped the video I looked at him/her and just made a move to one side or the other and said, “What? What are you doing?” (Of course, it is bilingual and understood me!) It dashed back and forth like a dog would play a game. It then ran around and came back in front of me and stopped. We did this 2-3 times and each time it would get a bit closer to me.
I did wonder what would happen if it came running towards me so 2-3 times with this game was enough. I wasn’t going to push my luck.
Having a fun time running around.
It came back over one last time and I said, “Goodnight, thanks for the game.” as I snapped a couple more photos of the sunset.
