There are many times in our lives where we wish for things to be different. We wish for a sunny day when it rains. A rainy day when we haven’t had rain in a while. We wish for it to be Friday. Or Spring when the Winter seems to hang on too long. We wish for warmer weather and Summer when Spring is too cool. We wish for Autumn when the heat of the Summer starts to make us cranky.
We wish for our vacation time to come around faster. We wish for our vacation to never end. We wish for a different home, one with more room or a bigger yard or in a better neighborhood. We wish for retirement as our day to day jobs seem to take more joy from our lives than they give.
We wish…
We wish our lives away.
What if…
What if we work to improve our lives and the lives around us? It could start with just a smile.
What if we accept the things we can’t change?
What if we bloom where we are planted?
I don’t mean we should settle because believe me that is not in my nature at all. (It used to be about 30 years ago but not since).
What if…
We accept our situation yet we STRIVE to be the absolute best and happiest we can be?
What if we take a lesson from these plants? They are STRIVING and GROWING in less than ideal situations.
“If you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.”
