I will admit that Spring is really the only time of year that I take photos of or talk to this tree. During the rest of the year, I take for granted that it stands its ground on the side of the thirteenth-century church here in the village.
But in Spring when it blooms the most incredible shade of purple flowers I fall in love with it all over again. I never find it easy to capture a photo from a distance that does it justice…although Bob did.
And then when I saw these blooms bursting from the trunk…wow! ‘Bloom where you are planted.’
Bob was able to capture this perfect shot below which gives you the full view of the tree and the church along with the gorgeous blue sky.
Beautiful tree and I love the contrast of the purple/pink against the blue sky!
