Woohoo and Yippee! This is my 300th blog post! 300! That’s a BIG number! Woohoo and Yippee!!! I just might need to celebrate with some bubbly.
I expected to reach this benchmark last week. Unfortunately, I was out of commission for a full week with a nasty virus that Bob brought back with him from Monaco. His first week back I was taking care of him and then I was cursed enough to get it myself. I then ended up with Conjunctivitis just to make it more fun. I kept thinking…all this down time and I could be writing or reading but I couldn’t even handle doing that. I am happy to say that I am now feeling human again and although not completely better at least I can function. Back to the doctor for a look at my eye tomorrow and hopefully this little bug is on its way. Bob is in Montreal now for a few days and we both hope he doesn’t bring anything back with him. 😉
I’ve taken a couple of short walks in the vineyard the past couple of days. Still new wildflowers popping up and the vines are just going crazy! Green pruning started a few weeks ago but I haven’t been out to catch up with the crew to take any new photos or videos. Soon!
Anyway, here’s what I found.
Do you see the spider?
“This flower isn’t big enough for all three of us!”
I don’t know what these are (yet) but I LOVE THEM!
“Put your head down and get the job done.”
And the vines…oh my!
One of the trees on the road up from our home had a branch break in the wind the other day. The tree is in bloom with gorgeous fragrant flowers that smell similar to lilac to me.
I had stopped to take a couple of photos and smell the flowers on my way home from my walk on Sunday. Later on I thought how silly it was to let those beautiful flowers just die there. They would look (and smell) lovely in vases in our home. I headed up to the road to cut some blooms and was greeted with…
THIS AMAZING LIGHT! Stopped me in my tracks. So breathtaking!
Sigh! That sunlight on the vines. Heavenly.
Back to the flowers…I cut 5 or 6 branches and brought them home and filled a couple of vases. The lilac-like scent filled the house. It was lovely. But yesterday my sinuses were not really happy. A little overloaded with the fragrance I think. So last night I (reluctantly) took them outside and put them in a jar on our table. And today…well…today I went back and cut 3 more branches! Spectacular!
Congratulations! On your 300th post – and may you make another 300 and beyond!
