Sunday we enjoyed a walk in the vineyard. It was a gorgeous day with that bright blue sky once again. We’re supposed to have a few rainy days this week so we knew we needed to take advantage of the sunshine.
The almond trees down the road are now all in bloom.
I’m glad that the white in the vineyard are weeds (or flowers we just haven’t met) not snow! It gives the vineyard a different look.
We stopped to say “Hola” to my favorite tree. What a headdress she is sporting.
As I take yet more photos around the vineyard I think to myself, “will you ever have enough photos of the vineyard?” Of course, the answer is no! It is constantly changing and I want to be sure I capture it.
If you stretch your imagination the old vines might be doing an ancient “vine” dance, perhaps to the tune of “Heard It Through The Grapevine.”
I’m still in awe that we live here.
The silence of the vineyard is broken only by the continuous hum of the bees amongst the almond blossoms and the weeds (or flowers we just haven’t met). I tried not to disturb them when I leaned into get a closer look at things.
Soon the weeds (or flowers we just haven’t met) will be gone. The vines will awaken from their Winter’s rest and start to burst with new life. Which means…more photos of course!
Oh my! Your pictures are a slice of heaven! Stunning!
