A Winter’s Tale

Although it has been feeling every bit like Winter here this week there are wonderful signs of Spring around the vineyard. Bob and I bundled up and went for a walk on Thursday afternoon. We had had rain for a couple of days and Thursday there was snow falling in Barcelona…too close for comfort I might add. Thankfully no snow for us but we did have some fabulous clouds, some sprinkles of rain and a couple of drops that turned into sleet.

I love the weeds (or are they just flowers we haven’t met) blooming in the vineyard right now. They give the vineyard a different feel and look.

Gorgeous isn’t it? Of course the almond trees continue to bloom. Oh and the blossoms smell like honey!

And my favorite tree that I told you about yesterday.

There are other signs of Spring both in the vineyard and in the village.

Oh and what about these clouds?! So incredible! Reminds me of a J.M.W. Turner painting.
