Almond blossoms…oh my!

It is still January, correct? Bob and I went for a walk in the vineyard on Saturday and there are so many things blooming.

The fact that it was a warm day made it seem as if we had stepped right into Spring. I kept stopping and looking closely at the vines to see if they showed any signs of sprouting but of course it is too early for that.

We are very curious why these vines are all growing in the same direction. I must find out. None of the other vines are like this.

I LOVE the color of this beauty.

We meandered along until we had this view. The almond tree that is bursting with blooms.

I think it was saying, “Hey look at me! Aren’t I gorgeous?!”

And yes it is. The bees were very busy but they occasionally stopped and posed for me.

A bit of the old and the new.

Isn’t nature just amazing!?

So many blossoms and more ready to pop open. And even more almond trees that are just starting to bloom.

The bees were getting a bit put out by me asking them to stay still and pose so we left them to their work. As we made our way through the vineyard we talked about how very soon everything will be bursting out in to a new cycle of life.
