Last night was another one of those…Stop-whatever-you-are-doing-Go-outside-and-watch-the-sunset sort of nights. I mentioned that we are having a cold spell which made for some incredible cloud formations yesterday. Bob and I talked about how the clouds didn’t seem to know what they wanted to be. Wispy. Marshmallowy (if that isn’t a word then it should be). Dark. Brooding.
And then sunset brushed the clouds with its magical touch.
The way the pink light was illuminating this incredible cloud…
These clouds look angry but then the pink touches them and…
It really looks like winter in the vineyard now.
This cloud just kept catchings my eye.
One last look at this cloud before I returned to the warmth of our home.
The news had been showing snow falling in many places in Spain and they said that the snow level would be down to 200 m which is the altitude of our village. Thankfully no precipitation was expected here last night and the clouds disappeared from the sky.
So…as I am writing this blog tonight’s sunset keeps catching my attention. I had to…well…you know…Stop-whatever-I-was-doing-Go-outside-and-watch-the-sunset.
How am I supposed to get anything done when these sunsets keep drawing me outside? Oh wait. Stopping for sunsets is extremely important. Even after I came back inside we kept looking out as the sunset evolved into a purpley (that has to be a word) haze.
I hope whenever you see a gorgeous sunset that you stop whatever you are doing and get outside to enjoy it. We all have a limited number of sunsets in our lifetime. Don’t let them pass you by.
