My week of gratitude continues. Today I am grateful for my love of nature. I really have my parents to thank for this. π
I’m glad that I am someone who notices not only the big things in nature but the little things as well. I wouldn’t want to be someone who didn’t notice the pinks of a sunrise or the golden light of a sunset.
I wouldn’t want to be someone who didn’t appreciate how the sunlight shimmers on the water.
I wouldn’t want to be someone who didn’t rush outside to see how the lemon tree is producing.
I wouldn’t want to be someone who didn’t notice the little critters. I asked him to slow down so that I could get his eyes to focus but he was on a mission and not to be deterred.
I wouldn’t want to be someone who drives home from the grocery store and doesn’t notice the afternoon sunlight on the vines. Knowing that I just had to drop the groceries at home and go for a walk to enjoy the light.
And I wouldn’t want to be someone who doesn’t notice a trail of ants. Carrying long pointy objects. I wouldn’t want to be someone who then didn’t stop to take a video of the ants in what looks like a fencing match. I imagine, if I could understand ant language, that there is a mother down there saying…”Be careful, you could poke someone’s eye out with that.”
Ohh I love this and its spirit
