Xan & Bob

A clean bill of health with no bill

Today was a day for appointments and errands. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun! This morning Bob had an appointment for an EKG. Last week he had blood work and a couple of ultrasounds. All routine as he is a new patient. I’ve told you before how impressed we are with the health care here. Bob had a doctor’s appointment two weeks ago and these tests were scheduled at that time. All the tests were performed in the clinic itself. No long wait. When he had the ultrasound last week as soon as they were done the doctor that performed the test actually typed up his notes and handed us a folder with the letter and the printouts of the ultrasound. Nice. Today, when he checked in they gave him a printout of his blood work results. He had the EKG and walked out with the test results. He was told at both tests that everything was good. No waiting for the doctor to read what the technician/doctor did and telling us a week later. Our private health care is for full coverage with no copay. We have received wonderful care and have a copy of results. I will tell you that this has been such a pleasant experience. As someone has moved 14 times in 20 years and having to go to each doctor before you move and request a copy of your medical records…oh yes…and usually pay a fee for it – this has been a nice change. The fact that Bob is healthy makes us both very happy.Medical

After his appointment, we wandered down in front of the old church. Lots of school kids there on a field trip. Neither of us remember going somewhere so beautiful on our school field trips.

I am not a selfie person. I really don’t understand the fascination with taking photos of yourself. Oh, and why do so many get taken in the car or bathroom? Never mind, I really don’t want to know. Anyway, it was a gorgeous day, we just got good news and I decided to take a selfie. Us

Not a bad backdrop, is it? It was a spectacularly sunny afternoon following a cloudy morning. This view will never get old.

Sitges is getting ready for Gay Pride Sitges. One of the many things we love about Sitges is its acceptance and embracing culture of everyone. You can come here and be YOU and you are loved. How wonderful is that?! More photos of the festivities to follow.

A bit of tapas and vino at Los Vikingos. One of our favorite spots to people watch.

Grocery shopping and a stop at our favorite butcher, Mitjans. Not a bad day.

  1. 14 move in 20 years !! I thought that I was bad enough with 6 moves in 24 years. Brisbane ~ Nagoya ~ Tokyo ~ Melbourne ~ Nerang ( 2 places ) ~ Mount Lofty in Toowoomba. That’s enough for me 🙂
