This past week we have had the pleasure of spending special time with friends and also making new friends. All of these gatherings involved friends, food, and wine and/or cava. What could be better?
A week ago Saturday we hosted our neighbors for a night of food and fun. We haven’t all been together since the middle of February so it was long overdue.
We all used the VersaChalk Wine Glass Markers to create artwork on our glasses. This way no one can drink your wine!! Ha Ha Ha!!! I highly recommend them.
My nickname is the Lady of Light here in the village. These were a gift from Montse and Alex.
The dinner party came to an end well after 2 a.m. So much fun! Looking forward to the next gathering in June.
Thursday, our buddy Xavi came up for lunch. Always love our time with him.
Enjoyed with a magnum bottle of Finca Viladellops’ (the vineyard where we live) award-winning Turó de les Abelles.
Then to continue with the week of fun, this past Saturday we went to our friend Mark’s to celebrate 30 years since they purchased their home here in Spain. Tomorrow will be 15 years since they moved here from London.
Saturday he had family and friends over for a garden party to celebrate. You know what!? Family and friends came from England to be here for the party…including friends that he worked with 27 years ago! How incredible is that?! It speaks volumes of how special Mark is to all of us. ♥♥
Tequila shots for some. (not me)
I made a Blueberry Tart. It was one of many scrumptious desserts. Oh, and so much yummy food!
Mark having a bit of the tart.
The party was so much fun and we were very happy to finally meet those friends and family Mark has told us so much about. We made many new friends. ♥ Cheers Mark!
What a beautiful table setting! It looks like a great party and that food! I think I want to be in your family so I can come to the next party…lol

Thank you! These meals are always great. Not only is the food fabulous but the people are amazing. A mixture of English, Catalan, Spanish and some Japanese are spoken and we are all trying to learn from each other. There is always plenty of laughter!
If you make it this way sometime, let me know. We can always set another place at the table. 🙂
