An eternity in a butterfly’s life

There is something about a beautiful butterfly enjoying our garden that brings me immense joy. We don’t see a lot of Swallowtails in our yard here as we did in previous yards so when I saw this one I was thrilled.

Sometimes they can be very uncooperative and fly away as soon as I try to take their photo but this one didn’t seem to even notice I was there. Just fluttered from one Lantana plant to another and back again.

I was even able to capture this video.

How gorgeous! With such a short life span it is certainly enjoying every moment. Just like we should.
