One of the biggest regrets I have about my previous life was not taking the time to do what I love to do. Being too busy. Being too lazy. Missing out on things that are important to me…because…fill in the blank.
Since we moved here I am trying to be more aware of this and although there are times when I am too busy and truthfully too lazy those times are fewer then they used to be.
Tonight I was in the bodega office and I saw the pink of the sunset beckoning me from the window. I said my good-byes and got outside to snap some photos.
The sunset reminded me that things can change in a minute. It is important to remember that. Embrace life! Enjoy the little things. Stop for sunsets.
I’ve mentioned before that in so many places that we lived we really couldn’t see the sunsets. I’m making up for lost time here.
The best part was that while I waited for the sky to change I had a buddy join me. When we weren’t watching the sunset we played fetch. So, along with stopping for sunsets be sure that you stop and play fetch.
Life is better when you take time to play fetch and watch sunsets.
