Merry Christmas Eve! Happy Hanukkah! I hope that you are enjoying time with family and friends. Making new traditions. Treasuring old traditions.
We are embracing new and old traditions. Maybe blending the two together. There are things I miss about being home in the States. However, I must say that I love the non-commercialism of Christmas here.
One tradition that we have continued over here is going to look at Christmas lights. Well, we have to say that Vilanova i la Geltrú won our hearts once again last night. Here is just a sample of our visit last night.
We stopped for a glass of cava and watched people young and old visiting with family and friends. Two nights before Christmas and people were not rushing to buy another gift…they were being PRESENT in the moment. They were the gift…to each other.
This amazing diorama.
While I was taking photos of the diorama, we noticed people gathering and staring up at this building in the plaza. Bob saw there was a countdown displaying so we watched along with everyone else as this incredible video played.
This is just a sample as there was so much to see…around just about every corner.
More lights and more celebrations to come.
It is indeed the most wonderful town, and I’m so pleased you’re here enjoying it too.
