Blueberry Tart

Today I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite recipes. It is a recipe for Blueberry Tart from Joanne Harris (author of Chocolat and many other wonderful books). I used to make this tart once a week for years and then it became a once in a while thing. Here you really can only get fruits and vegetables when they are in season which is a lot different to us being able to buy blueberries year-round in the States. At the end of the season last year I decided to freeze some to get us through Winter. Today, I used up the rest of that stash for this tart. I prefer fresh berries to frozen especially blueberries because once they thaw, they are not as firm.

Anyway, here is the recipe and a cover of Joanne’s cookbook in case you want to check out her other recipes.

It is okay if a bit more than 1 TB of Creme de Cassis is used. lol.

Blueberries are now in season so I added a few fresh ones as well. I never think I have enough berries!

I have also used blackberries or a combination of blueberries and blackberries in this recipe. I hope you give it a try and not only check out some of Joanne’s other recipes but also her books.

Time to go cut a slice of tart. Bye.

  1. Yummmmmmm! I love blueberries. Looks like it turned out delicious. And I noticed the Fitbit on your wrist – I’m assuming a walk of some sorts followed your enjoyment of a piece of the tart? 😉
