I was up before the dawn Thursday morning working on my blog, Grazing Sheep With The Setting Sun when I noticed the sunrise tempting me outside. Amazing what a little hint of purple in the sky will do.
The climate here in the vineyard is interesting. Overnight we get a lot of dew (thus the reason I never leave clothes on the line overnight). When I noticed the dewdrops on this tree (yes, dewdrops not rain) I knew there were photos I wanted to capture.
I stood in the silence but for birdsong and talked to my Dad who I lost almost 29 years ago to cancer. He loved photography and the shots below of the dewdrops are exactly the photos he would have taken. So, I stood there talking to my Dad about how beautiful this sunrise was with the dew on the trees. I asked him to help me capture the image below. I think we did a pretty good job.
Before heading back inside I walked up to see the early morning light like a brushstroke on the vineyard.
Back down the lane and one more shot.
